Privacy policy — Assamese to English
Last updated 3 November 2026. Assamese to English is published by SpknEnglish. This policy explains what the app collects and why.
What we collect
- App account. A random install ID and a learner account are created on first launch. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
- Learning progress. Lessons completed, answers, scores, words learned, mistakes, streaks, XP and the time spent learning.
- Conversation practice. The text of what you say or type in conversation practice is sent to our server to understand it and reply. Text of conversations is deleted after 30 days.
- Voice. Speech is turned into text by your phone's speech service. Voice recordings you make for pronunciation practice stay on your phone and are not uploaded.
- Device data. App version and a push-notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send reminders you can switch off.
Advertising
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising ID and collect data as described in Google's advertising policy. Where required, the app asks for your consent first. Premium learners see no ads.
Payments
Premium is bought through Google Play. We receive the purchase confirmation from Google, never your card or UPI details.
How long we keep data
Your learning data is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, it is removed within 7 days, except purchase records we must keep by law.
Your choices
You can change notifications in the app, download your data (Profile → Your data) and delete your account (Profile → Delete account, or this page).
Children
The app is meant for learners aged 13 and above.
